
Christophe Bacquié, born in Corsica, began his career in the kitchen after gaining experience in Paris and in prestigious restaurants such as ‘L'Oasis’ and ‘Prunier’. In 2000, he became head chef at ‘La Villa’ in Calvi, where he was awarded a Michelin star in 2002, followed by a second in 2007. In 2009, he joined the Hôtel du Castellet, where he was awarded two Michelin stars in 2010, before being awarded three stars in 2018. Now chef-owner at Bonnieux in the Luberon, he is becoming the first double-starred chef for his new gourmet table d'hôtes. Committed to preserving the marine environment, he was voted Chef of the Year 2018 and awarded 5 toques by Gault & Millau. His philosophy is based on emotion, sharing and the quest for excellence. Christophe Bacquié is also committed to passing on his expertise to his teams, and values cuisine as an art of communion.
